A complete gate automation system consists of: one or two gear-motors, a control unit, a radio receiver, a pair of photocells (in order to avoid the car being hit on gate opening), a radio antenna, a flashing light. The system is remotely controlled. The same remote control may be used in order to control several mechanisms (for instance the main gate and the garage door). The gate can also be opened manually, with a key switch. This is very useful when there is a power failure.
